Natalie M. Hein

     Natalie Hein is the founder of North Star Law, a Nebraska-based civil practice representing individuals and businesses in a wide range of contexts. Her practice focuses on trial and appellate advocacy, with an emphasis on clear legal analysis, disciplined strategy, and effective written and oral advocacy.

    Natalie brings more than a decade of litigation experience across private practice, in-house counsel, and the judicial system. Prior to founding North Star Law Firm, she served as General Counsel for a Nebraska construction company, where she handled the company’s significant litigation matters involving insurance coverage disputes and contract claims. In that role, she filed and managed more than thirty active cases within a nine-month period and advised company leadership on litigation strategy and risk management.

     Before moving in-house, Natalie practiced for over six years as a litigation associate at a respected Omaha law firm, representing clients in Iowa and Nebraska trial and appellate courts. Her practice included construction law, insurance defense and coverage disputes, personal injury, landlord-tenant matters, and related civil litigation, as well as transactional drafting of agreements and estate planning documents. She has handled cases from initial pleadings through dispositive motions, settlement, trial, and appeal.

     Earlier in her career, Natalie served as a judicial law clerk to the Nebraska Supreme Court. That experience informs her approach to motion practice and appeals, with a strong focus on how Nebraska courts evaluate legal arguments.

     Natalie earned her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Creighton University School of Law, ranking in the top ten percent of her class and receiving numerous academic and advocacy honors, including multiple CALI Awards, the Order of the Barristers, and the ABOTA Trial Advocacy Award. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts, summa cum laude, from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

     Natalie is admitted to practice in Iowa and Nebraska.
